Carpet Cleaning Toronto
UltiClean steam cleans carpets and area rugs across Toronto: houses, semis, townhouses, condos and offices. We use truck-mounted hot water extraction, the method most carpet manufacturers recommend, with water heated to 230°F and 31 horsepower of suction pulling it straight back out. Most carpets are dry in a few hours. Call 647-676-0576: we are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Steam carpet cleaning in Toronto
- Inspection. We check fibre type, traffic lanes, stains and pet areas and tell you what to expect.
- Pre-treatment. Traffic lanes, oily soil, salt residue and spots are pre-sprayed.
- Hot water extraction. Water at 230°F rinses deep into the pile and is extracted with the soil.
- Spot work. Remaining stains get targeted treatment.
- Grooming. Fibres are groomed so they dry evenly and look uniform.
- Protector (optional). Fabric protector helps future spills bead up.
Condo carpet cleaning
Almost half of Toronto’s homes are apartments in buildings of five storeys or more, so condo work is a big part of what we do. We work within building rules, book elevators through your concierge when needed and plan parking ahead. Truck-mounted extraction leaves carpets damp, not wet, so bedrooms and dens are usable the same day.
Houses, basements and stairs
Older Toronto houses often have carpeted stairs, bedrooms and finished basements. Basements get musty, and stairs show traffic first. We clean stairs step by step, treat basement odours and can follow up with deodorizing where needed.
Stains we remove
Coffee, wine, juice, food, grease, mud, pet urine and vomit, and the white salt lines that winter tracks onto entry carpet and stairs. Fresh stains come out more easily. Read how to get coffee out of carpet and how to remove winter salt stains for what to do before we arrive.
Pet stain and odour treatment
Pet urine soaks below the carpet fibre into the backing and pad. We locate affected areas, treat them with a pet odour treatment and then extract. Severe or repeated accidents can need pad treatment, and we will tell you before we start.
Area rug cleaning in your home
We clean synthetic and wool area rugs in your home, so there is no pickup or drop-off. Wool is cleaned at lower heat with wool-safe solutions. Delicate silk and antique hand-knotted rugs need specialist plant washing, and we will be honest when a rug needs it.
Commercial carpet cleaning in Toronto
Offices, clinics, restaurants, bars, indoor playgrounds and retirement residences. Because we are open 24 hours, we can schedule cleaning after hours so your business keeps running.
How much does carpet cleaning cost in Toronto?
Price depends on the number of rooms or square footage, stairs, the level of soiling and add-ons such as protector, pet treatment or deodorizing. Call 647-676-0576 for a clear quote before any work starts, with no surprises on the day.

Toronto carpet cleaning questions
How long does carpet take to dry?
Usually a few hours for synthetic carpet, longer for wool. Run fans or the furnace fan to speed it up. See carpet drying times.
How often should I clean my carpets?
Every 12 to 18 months for most homes, and every 6 to 12 months with pets, children or allergies. See how often to clean carpets.
Can you get winter salt stains out?
Yes. Salt residue is pre-treated and rinsed out with hot water extraction.
Is it safe for kids and pets?
Yes. The extraction rinse removes cleaning solution with the soil. Keep everyone off the carpet until it is dry.
Do you do move-out carpet cleaning?
Yes, for tenants, landlords and sellers. Tell us your handover date and we will plan around it.
Why truck-mounted extraction matters
Portable carpet machines plug into a wall outlet, heat water with a small element and have limited suction. A truck-mounted system is powered by its own engine, heats water to around 230°F and pulls it back out with far stronger suction. In practice that means three things for your carpet: more soil comes out, less water stays in, and carpets dry in hours instead of a day or more. In a condo or a house without a driveway, our hoses run from the truck to your unit, and we tell you before booking if the distance is too far.
Carpet types we clean
- Nylon and polyester, the most common carpet in Toronto homes and condos
- Wool and wool blends, cleaned at lower heat with wool-safe solutions
- Berber and loop pile, cleaned carefully to avoid snagging and wicking
- Frieze and plush, groomed after cleaning so the pile dries evenly
- Commercial carpet tile in offices and common areas
Toronto carpet problems we see every week
Winter salt
Salt and slush come in on every boot from December to April. Salt dries as white crust on entry carpet and stairs, and keeps wicking back up after surface cleaning. Hot water extraction rinses it out from the base of the pile. Read how to remove winter salt stains.
Pets in small spaces
Dogs and cats in condos and semis tend to use the same spots over and over. Urine soaks into the backing and pad, and odour returns on humid days. We treat the affected areas before extraction and tell you honestly if the pad needs replacing.
Traffic lanes
Hallways, stairs and the path to the couch go grey first. Soil there is ground in, so we pre-treat and agitate before rinsing.
Basement carpet
Basements in older Toronto houses can get musty, especially after a damp summer. We clean, deodorize and recommend running a dehumidifier while the carpet dries.
Move-in, move-out and rental cleaning
Toronto has a busy rental market, and carpet cleaning is often part of moving out. We clean for tenants, landlords, property managers and sellers getting a home ready for listing photos. Tell us your handover date and we will plan so the carpet is dry in time.
How to prepare
- Pick up toys, shoes and small items from the floor.
- Move fragile and light furniture, or let us know what needs moving.
- Vacuum if you can, although we vacuum heavily soiled areas too.
- Book the elevator and visitor parking in condo buildings.
- Plan to keep pets and children off the carpet until it is dry.
After your carpet is cleaned
Open windows or run the furnace fan or air conditioning to speed drying. Walk on the carpet in clean socks, not bare feet or shoes, until it is dry. Put furniture back on foil or blocks if legs could stain damp carpet. Vacuum regularly, and blot spills right away with a white cloth.

Do you clean area rugs on hardwood?
Yes, in your home. We protect the hardwood underneath while we work.
Will cleaning shrink my carpet?

Carpet cleaning myths
“Cleaning makes carpet get dirty faster.” Only when soap is left behind. Extraction rinses it out.
“Steam cleaning shrinks carpet.” Shrinking comes from over-wetting with weak equipment. Truck-mounted extraction pulls most of the water back out.
“Rental machines do the same job.” They have a fraction of the heat and suction, so they leave more water and soil behind.
How long does a Toronto carpet cleaning visit take?
A one-bedroom condo usually takes about an hour. A full house with stairs and a basement can take several hours. We give you a time estimate with your quote so you can plan around it.
